What’s New?
You can now add
WhatsApp and Text Message contact options
to a GBP listing — giving businesses more ways to be reachable by customers who prefer messaging over calls.Where to Find It
- Navigate to: Reputation → GBP Optimization
- Scroll just below the Phone Number field
- You’ll now see fields for Text Message and WhatsApp
Heads-up:
If both fields are filled, Text Message will take priority
as the contact method shown on the GBP listing.





Why This Matters
Modern customers expect quick, convenient communication. By enabling WhatsApp and SMS contact, your clients can build trust and drive more direct interactions — all while improving the completeness and engagement level of their Google profile.
